The diagnosis of cancer has changed your life. Everything is different than before. There is a lot of uncertainty about what to do next. You wonder whether your doctor has the necessary experience, whether you will be treated properly or whether there are alternatives.
A well-founded second opinion from an experienced specialist will help you in any case. With an interdisciplinary team, I can review your current diagnosis and either confirm the suggested therapy or also advise an alternative, more innovative therapy. Because the latest results in cancer research also lead to new therapies - be it, for example, the treatment of peritoneal cancer with the so-called "HIPEC" or the the therapy of liver cancer, liver metastases and pancreatic cancer with the "NanoKnife".
In my ordination at the University Hospital for Surgery in Salzburg, I offer comprehensive consultation. Based on my long experience, I can look at your specific case from all angles and create an individual therapy concept that will help you get well again. State-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment procedures and a competent, interdisciplinary team of colleagues are at my disposal.
To obtain a second opinion, please make an appointment at my ordination.
Obtain a written second opinion
There is also the possibility of obtaining a second opinion in writing. For this purpose, please send me the following documents by e-mail or post:
- Physician's letters, findings, histologies
- Picture material on CD or stick
- A copy of your identity card
- Billing address
- If requested by relatives, a power of attorney from the patient to provide medical information
I ask for your understanding that in some cases a personal visit may be necessary for a final assessment. A discussion of the findings by telephone is only possible in individual cases. Here, too, I ask you to send me the above-mentioned documents in advance.
Please note that the preparation of a second opinion is also subject to a charge, irrespective of an appointment at the ordination.
